Description
This guitar was built by Otto Rauch in 2015. He named it “Montagnana”, because its sound reminded Otto Rauch of the strong and dark character of the violoncellos made by Domenico Montagnana who was an Italian master luthier based in Venice (Italy) in the 18th century. Montagnana is regarded as one of the world’s finest violin and cello makers of his time. This guitar was built in a traditional way and has a seven-fan bracing. Under the bridge there is a Bouchet bar. The very light cedar top makes the guitar strong and powerful. Back and sides are made of rosewood. The tuning machines are made by fustero. All French polished. A Hiscox Pro II case is included.
