{"title":"David Rubio","description":"David “José” Rubio is regarded as one of the most influential English luthiers of the 20th century. After moving to Seville and Madrid to study flamenco guitar, he developed a strong interest in guitar making and opened his first workshop in New York in 1963. Soon after, he began a close collaboration with Julian Bream, who played several Rubio guitars – including a 1966 instrument very similar to this one. In 1967, Rubio returned to England and later established his workshop near Oxford. Beyond classical guitars, he built lutes, vihuelas, theorbos, harpsichords, and violas da gamba. This guitar is a fine example of his work, offering a wealth of tonal colours, a mature timbre, and an open, resonant voice.","products":[],"url":"https:\/\/www.siccasguitars.com\/collections\/david-rubio.oembed","provider":"Siccas Guitars","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
