Siccas Luthiers is our own line of classical guitars — instruments grounded in established building traditions and refined through decades of working with the world’s finest guitars. It grew out of a family story shaped by classical guitar, craftsmanship, and the search for tonal depth, and it gives players worldwide access to well-balanced, carefully developed instruments.

The Origin of Siccas Luthiers

The roots lie in the musical passion of Mario Sicca, whose enthusiasm introduced his sons Mirco and Manuel to high-quality classical guitars at an early age. Working closely with fine instruments gave them a trained understanding of construction methods, timbres, and expressive possibilities — the foundation for everything that followed.

From Passion to Brand

That passion led to the creation of Siccas Guitars. Daily work with historical and modern classical guitars by Torres, Hermann Hauser, Daniel Friederich, Matthias Dammann, Jim Redgate, and other notable makers sharpened our eye for the details that define an instrument’s character. Every guitar that found its way to Karlsruhe offered new insight into construction, materials, and playing feel.

The Idea Behind the Line

As Siccas Guitars grew, so did the wish to turn this knowledge into a dedicated line. Siccas Luthiers was envisioned as a collection of instruments rooted in proven traditions while reflecting the long-standing experience of an international guitar house — guitars that give players a balanced, dependable voice for artistic development.

Craft and Construction

Today, Siccas Luthiers guitars are built in selected workshops where experienced luthiers combine traditional concepts with modern construction methods such as double-top and lattice bracing. Each instrument reflects the tonal requirements we have developed over many years of working with high-quality classical guitars.

Final Setup in Karlsruhe

After completion, the instruments arrive at our workshop in Karlsruhe, where a specialised team examines playability, balance, and tonal nuance. This final step ensures the clear articulation, easy response, and well-tuned dynamics that characterise Siccas Luthiers.

Tradition and Future

Siccas Luthiers continues a story that began with Mario’s love of music and gained direction through the work of his sons. The line unites traditional guitar-making knowledge with current approaches, creating instruments with a distinct identity. Explore the Siccas Luthiers line, compare it with the rest of our classical guitars, and reach out for personal advice — every instrument comes with a 14-day home trial, worldwide.
