Description
Amélie Bouvret is a talented French guitar maker based in Châlon sur Saône, France. She received her training at the prestigious guitar-making school in Puurs, Belgium. Amélie gained a solid knowledge of guitar making from master luthiers Walter Verreydt and Karel Dedain. Her guitars are of great sensitivity and unique charisma. Fascinated by French lutherie and especially by the guitars of Robert Bouchet, Amelie’s instruments convey a great elegance and tonal refinement. In addition, her guitars are very powerful and have all the qualities of great concert instruments. Due to her excellent skill as a guitar maker, it is not surprising that she won the third prize in the prestigious 2021 Antonio Marin Montero guitar-making competition.
What a fascinating guitar that Amelié Bouvret has created here. For this model, just like the last instrument we received from her and had the pleasure of offering, she took inspiration from Robert Bouchet. This instrument displays an elegant look through its well-executed ornamentations and details. The cedar soundboard perfectly matches the look of the striking Madagascar rosewood back and sides. Acoustically this instrument is as unique as its looks. The deep and grandiose basses provide solid fundamentals to this instrument’s overall voicings. Moreover, its exceptional balance and clarity make this French guitar a very versatile instrument and bring great satisfaction when playing.
