Description
Born in Germany in 1956, Andrés Daniel Marvi has built guitars in his workshop near Granada, Spain for about 30 years. As a child he learnt to play the guitar, and after his Abitur (A-Level, high-school diploma) he worked as a guitar teacher. At the same time he started to get interested in guitar building and sound production as well. In 1984 he took part in a guitar building class led by the famous luthier José Romanillos, and was able to prove his technical talent. In 1985 he passed his guitar building exams in Erlangen and moved to Spain two years later.
This model from 2010 was built traditionally, and shows a timeless design with beautifully harmonic color transitions. The top is made of cedar, the back and sides are made of rosewood. The sound is powerful and direct. A terrifically forceful bass underlines the warm mids and clear trebles. The guitar is in excellent condition. The tuners are made by Sloane. A Hiscox hard-shell case is included.
