Description
Angelo Vailati belongs to the younger generation of highly qualified Italian luthiers, who have already established themselves internationally and are among the most outstanding representatives of the Italian guitar building scene. After learning from the best and acquiring knowledge under the guidance of Enrico Bottelli, José Luis Romanillos, and Daniele Chiesa, Angelo opened his own workshop in Bologna, Italy. His guitars are strongly inspired by the great masters of the guitar building tradition. The craftsmanship is precise, delicate and allows him to express his great talent in building tasteful guitars.
What a brilliant guitar, certainly one of the most refined instruments we’ve seen from Angelo. With its captivating Ziricote back and sides and natural coloured spruce top, its elegance is just stunning. Angelo Vailati chose a lightweight Italian “Val di Fiemme” spruce top for this instrument, which he fitted with a traditional five-fan bracing. The result is a glass-clear, pure and dynamic sound. Overtone-rich and eelegant sympathetic resonances bring additional tonal richness to the trebles, and powerful basses perfectly round up the sound of this guitar.
