Description
Antonio Marín Montero was born in Granada in 1933. In 1957, he joined master Pérez’s workshop and two years later, in 1959, his father advised him to visit Eduardo Ferrer for whom he worked until opening his own workshop. Today Antonio Marin Montero is one of the most sought after Granadian guitar makers. His guitars are played in concert all around the world and they are, from our point of view, among the best Spanish guitars of our time.
This gorgeous Robert Bouchet model has one of the most beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides (CITES certified) that we have seen on a A. M. Montero for a while. Back and sides are in a remarkable state of conservation and free of cracks. The top has four perfectly repaired and stable cracks. This guitar is of course hand signed on the second back-brace by Antonio Marin Montero.
The most rich and delicate tone combined with a perfect balance and the almost infinite seeming sustain, make this one of the most emotional and charming Antonio Marin Montero guitars one could think about.
