Description
At HANIKA craftsmanship is understood as custom work and sound as art. A guitar from the famous Baiersdorf manufacture is a symbol of quality and craftsmanship tradition. Since 1953 it has been the basis for the success story of the company, combined with trend-setting innovations. Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has been building classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since.
Back and sides are manufactured of finest Palo Escrito and the top is made of excellent spruce. Along with the thin spruce top the Grand Konzert achieves a very good response with full sound and good separation. This guitar satisfies highest demands, it is recommended for conscious players and can completely unfold especially in slow and carried pieces.
The guitar is made of high-quality massive tonewoods and has a high gloss finish. The Alessi machine heads with bushes and ebony pegs, the Cedro-neck reinforced with best hardwood, the quality ebony fingerboard and 3-ply Rosewood Maple Makassar headstock show the high quality of the Grand Konzert. Another feature is the sound port in the upper bout sides near the heel that increases the airflow through the body which lets the soundboard move more freely. This hole not only increase the presence of the sound for the player but also add to the volume, clarity, openness and depth for the listener. The body has a gloss finish with a UV-curing acrylic lacquer and the top has a French polish finish. A Hiscox Pro II case is included.
