Description
This precious guitar from Mirecourt has a stamp on its back, indicating “Cabasse-Visnaire L’ainé” and was built around 1825. The top is made of fine-grained spruce wood. The soundhole and the top are decorated with beautiful mother of pearl inlays, which can also be found on the guitar’s neck and headstock. The decorative inlays are framed by bone, covering the edges of the guitar’s top, back, neck and headstock. The back is veneered with spruce and consists just like the ribs as well of Acajou. This wonderful instrument impresses not only with its beauty but also with its sound.
