Description
This D&A Roudhloff (Dominique and Arnauld) guitar was built around 1845. Dominique and Arnauld were the sons of Francois Roudhloff, who was a very famous luthier from Mirecourt. His sons went from Mirecourt to London where they worked as guitar makers and as guitar dealers.
When looking to the high-quality materials that were used for this guitar, and when taking a closer look how elaborated this guitar is from in- and outside, we can estimate what great skills these two artisans had. The top of this guitar is made of spruce. Back and sides are made of impressive looking bird’s eye maple with only some little perfectly repaired cracks which you can hardly see. The high quality tuning machines are not original.
