Description
Daniel Friederich was born on January 16th in 1932. At the age of 23 years he built his first instrument (a copy of a Simplicio), because he wanted to learn to play the guitar. His guitar teacher Christian Aubin and the painter and guitar builder Robert Bouchet had a great influence on his work and Friederich developed their ideas further. For decades now, Friederich has been one of the world’s most important luthiers and his guitars are played all over the world.
Early in his career, he built some guitars with spruce top, but this changed in 1974 when he finally devoted himself mainly to guitars with cedar top (with only few exceptions that were built on special request. This guitar is one of the rare examples with a spruce top. The guitar in impressive condition – everything is original. There is a little ding underneath the bridge. The tuning machines are made by Fustero.
