Description
Daniel Stark is a German luthier known for his double top guitars. His instruments are played all over the world and have been recorded on more than 25 albums. He builds very powerful and refined guitars using only natural materials for his double top construction. In general, the outer layer of the soundboard is made of cedar, the middle layer of balsa wood and the inner layer of balsa or cedar.
This particular guitar is quite unique. Daniel decided to leave the lower bout of the soundboard free of bracing and to only use balsa as inner wood of this double-top soundboard. This creates a responsive guitar that is very powerful, and its voice is warm with a lot of fundamental core. The guitar has been played frequently over the past years and therefore shows some playing wear on the top an the back, but is in structurally good condition. When playing on this Daniel Stark you can immediately notice how easy it is to play due to a perfect setup. It has brilliant sustain and is a true concert instrument suitable for both classical music and other genres as well.
