Description
Dimitris Piperidis was born in Athens, Greece in 1973. Coming from a family that has dealt in traditional wood processing he developed a passion for music. He apprenticed to Pavlos Gypas and later became his assistant, gaining a lot of experience. Furthermore, he frequently met and consulted Dominique Field who helped him to shape his general approach on guitar construction in a more traditional style.
Dimitris Piperidis has kept his own workshop for several years now. His aim is to produce well balanced instruments in terms of tone, sustain, power and playability. This model from 2016 is a plain beauty with a strong contrast between the light spruce top and the Indian Rosewood back and sides. The headstock is striking with its angular milling below the tuning machines. The sound is brilliant and direct with bright trebles and warm mids and basses. The guitar is French polished. The tuners are by Schertler. A hard case is included.
