Description
Ennio Giovanetti has been building guitars since 1998 in his Sariano di Gropparello workshop near Piacenza (Italy). He studied guitar making in Milan with Enrico Bottelli, where he got to know many guitars by Antonio de Torres, Simplicio, Garcia, and many others. His guitars are built traditionally but are well recognizable by their own elements.
This remarkable 2023 Ennio Giovanetti guitar is a stunning example of the luthier’s consistent and meticulous craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of Daniel Friederich, this guitar possesses an unmistakable charm and elegance. At the heart of this instrument lies a beautiful spruce soundboard, personally sourced from Daniel Friederich himself. Its unique construction features five fan braces and a thin cedar brace beneath the bridge. Complementing the soundboard, the back, and sides are fashioned from top-tier Indian rosewood, hand-selected for its exceptional quality and rich appearance. Every detail of this 2023 Ennio Giovanetti guitar is executed with the utmost precision, resulting in a masterful instrument that delights both visually and acoustically. Its impressive balance is marked by solid trebles and deep, dark basses, culminating in a captivating sonic experience. As a faithful homage to the original Daniel Friederich guitars, this Giovanetti creation not only captures their essence but also showcases the luthier’s deep understanding and appreciation of the legendary designs.
