Description
Established in Lorient, France, François Leonard has made classical guitars for over 18 years. He had the chance to learn from many guitar makers in England and worked at the Lakewood workshop in Germany. Great Masters such as Daniel Friederich and Dominique field have taught him the aesthetic and structural aspect of the French tradition of guitar building. François’ ambition is to build guitars with “harmonic presence”.
This guitar from 2018 combines traditional guitar building techniques with the master’s own lattice bracing concept. The design is beautiful and timeless with a light spruce top contrasting pleasantly with the dark rosewood back and sides and highlighting the precious and detailed ornamentation on the rosette and the gorgeously grained bridge. The sound is powerful and responsive with a great dynamic range. The tuners are made by Gotoh. A hard-shell case is included.
