Description
Born in 1955, Fritz Ober learned to play the guitar at an early age. He built his first instruments in the 70s following the descriptions in books about guitar making. Later he did an apprenticeship with the instrument maker Helmut Buchsteiner, and initially concentrated on building lutes. Fritz says that the skills he acquired there have helped to determine his guitar making approach of today. He is especially inspired by the old masters such as Antonio de Torres. His workshop is situated in Munich.
