Description
This SE113 Antonio de Torres copy represents a tribute to the 200th birthday of the famous maker. During his career, Gabriele Lodi had the opportunity to study several original Torres guitars in his workshop and was therefore able to make a number of beautiful Torres copies. In this case Gabriele made a copy of the SE113 built in 1888. It is one of the best Torres guitars ever made and it was played by Wulfin Lieske on the EMI solo recording “Guitarra Espanola“ in 1992.
Gabriele Lodi’s idea was to create a guitar that sounds as similar to the original instrument as possible and offers the same balance, timbers, colors and dimensions. The joint of the top, like the SE113, is not in the middle but under the first string line. The guitar can be played with gut strings as well as nylon strings. Only the best materials were used for this “Master Serie“ guitar. The Italian Spruce was stored for over 35 and the rosewood for over 40 years. The tuning machines are made by Alessi and are also copies of the original tuners. A hardshell case is included.
