Description
Gerold Hannabach (1928-2015) was born in Schönbach, Czechoslovakia, in a music instruments makers family. In 1948, he started his apprenticeship in Arnold Hoyer’s workshop in Bubenreuth. He then opened his own workshop for classical guitars and for resale in 1953. In later years Gerold Hannabach taught at the School for Music Instrument manufacture in Bubenreuth. He has crafted many instruments for solo artists and in recent years focused solely on the manufacture of custom classical guitars and ukuleles.
This concert model was made in 1972, it is in very good condition with only a few playing marks on the top. It is a guitar with an accomplished sound and a well textured timbre. A hard-shell case is included.
