Description
Giovanni Tacchi is the son of the very prominent and great luthier Andrea Tacchi who builds his guitars in Florence Italy. Andrea Tacchi was in close contact with Robert Bouchet and Daniel Friederich during the 80s, with whom he developed his craftsmanship and his artistic taste. Later, he kept learning from other important guitar makers such as Ignacio Fleta, José Luis Romanillos and Robert Ruck. Giovanni Tacchi has developed and refined his skills in the most incredible way. His instruments are mature, with a grandiose sound full of colour and dynamics. The craftsmanship is on the very highest level.
It is clearly recognisable from this beautiful 2019 Garcia model that Giovanni, just like his father, is a true artist. Every detail on this instrument has been executed with great dedication and accuracy. The attention to detail and the ornaments, including the rosette, are small works of art. This beautiful instrument has a spruce top with a nice patina look and beautiful medullary rays, paired with very dark and delightful Indian rosewood back and sides. Due to its weight of only 1285 grams, this guitar will please lovers of intense basses. Meanwhile, the brilliant trebles provide a singing characteristic that harmonises perfectly with the deep and dark basses, creating an “old world” sound. This guitar has a small hairline crack on one side which has been carefully glued not needing cleats inside and does not affect the sound. This is a great opportunity to acquire a high-quality instrument from the still young but extremely capable luthier Giovanni Tacchi, who not only has a promising future ahead of him, but is at present already enriching the guitar world with his fine instruments.
