Description
This is a Gretsch from the 1930’s. Like most of the pre war Dobro-Style Guitars it does not have a serial number or label. It was very likely made by Regal who often made and sold resonators for other companies in the 30’s. It is in good conditions considering the age. The action is not too high, which makes it playable for both fingerstyle and open tuning slide. The spider cone is original Dobro and the coverplate is a Pat Pend type with a modified hole pattern which is typical for the Gretsch-branded resonators from the era.
It also features a humbucker. A great sounding Dobro with quite some bark.
