Description
Henner Hagenlocher began building guitars in Hamburg in 1990 in the workshop of luthier Michael Wichmann. When he started his main focus was to study guitars by Torres. During this time he focused to build copies but also to develop his own models. After this period in Hamburg, he studied Music-Technology at the Guildhall University in London, where he studied the construction of Spanish guitars but also other stringed instruments. After he had completed his studies, he remained another year in London until he moved to Granada. In 1996 he opened there, in Calle Guadarrama 3, his own workshop. There he studied a lot about the granadinian style of guitar construction and learned a lot from other luthiers like Antonio Marin Montero. The top is made of finest spruce, the back and sides are made of rosewood. The sound is very clear and crisp and it reacts very fast. Body resonance is around F#. The tuning machines are made by Fustero.
