Description
Henri Rudert was born before 1810 and died in Warsaw, Poland in 1888. He is known for his exceptional skills as maker of string instruments. He exhibited in Warsaw 1856, 1857, 1888 and won the gold medal for his work in 1857. This guitar was built in 1841 – it is a beautiful example of the maker’s craftsmanship. The instrument is highly decorated with filigree inlays i.e. of wood, mother of pearl and bone. Back and sides are made of maple (veneered with spruce). It is in a very well restored condition. A hardshell case included.
