Description
Jakob Poljakoff was born and grew up in Braunschweig (Germany). After finishing school with the German “A level”, he worked as a pattern maker in Wolfsburg for a few years. In 2005 he moved to Berlin to study metal engineering at the TU-Berlin. During that time the idea of becoming a guitar maker grew stronger and stronger. So, his way brought him to the International School of Guitarmaking (Newark-Sherwood-College) in England where his studies begun in 2009. He was trained under the guidance of James Lister, Malachy Brady as well as Adrian Lucas. After graduating the course with honors, he moved back to Berlin and set up his own workshop. From 2012 to 2014 his workshop was based in Dortmund in the studio house “Alter Kiosk”. In October 2014, he moved back to Berlin and set up his workshop in the center of Berlin. This guitar was made by Jakob in 2015 and has an Alpine spruce top (schellack), back and sides are made of Indian rosewood (matt/oil finish). The guitar comes with a K+K-pure classic pickup system. The tuning machines are made by Gotoh. A Hiscox Pro II case is included.
