This wonderful guitar, constructed by Johann Georg Stauffer represents a very special model that is inspired by French romantic guitars. Because of the design and the serial number on the label this guitar can be assigned to the year 1827/28. The top is made of spruce wood and it is coated with a clear varnish. The sound hole is decorated with light and dark veneers. The guitar’s bridge is designed in a plain and modest manner. The sides are made of maple and the one-piece back is made of satinwood.
