Description
Jost von Huene was born in 1979 and is part of the new German guitar makers generation. Always interested in guitar making, he did an apprenticeship in Wolfgang Amann’s workshop before starting further studies at the college for instrument making of Markneukirchen in 2003. After having obtained his master degree in 2007, he opened his workshop in Dresden (Germany) in 2007. Since 2012, he is teaching in Markneukirchen the art of the lutherie.
What a striking crossover instrument! Jost is showing us the extends of his skills with this “Elipse” model. This guitar is featuring a beautifully twisted cut away offering an easy access to the high notes and giving it an ambitious contemporary style. Another of Jost’s surprises is the cedar double top realised with balsa and featuring only natural materials. This construction gives to the guitar’s sound an amazing punch and allows great dynamic changes and modulations. A modern guitar with a strong personality for a versatile and curious artist. The tuning machines are made by Schaller and the guitar has a MI-SI Trio Air pick up (with MEMS Microphone and L.R.Baggs Element pickup). A hard-shell case is included.
