Description
Kazuo Sato is an internationally renowned luthier who apprenticed with Kuniharu Nobe in Japan from 1965 to 1971. After that period, he moved to David Rubio’s workshop in England, where he worked along with another famous luthier: Paul Fischer. In 1974 he established his own workshop in Germany. He is still based in Germany and now also works together with his son Hideo Sato.
This guitar from 1984 is in very good condition, looking almost like new. Kazuo Sato’s craftsmanship is of the highest grade one could possibly wish for. When looking at the guitar, one finds with great enthusiasm small details, which are executed with utmost care. From the thousands of individual parts of the rosette to the immaculate joints.
Also in terms of sound, it has everything you could wish for from a premium instrument. Both singing trebles with an almost glassy character as well as even and thrilling basses that complement the trebles perfectly.This guitar has a remarkably long sustain with plenty of warmth and is very inspiring to play, as it quickly captivates with different timbres. The setup is superb and the neck shape very comfortable.
