Description
Kazuo Sato, born in Tokyo in 1946, is an internationally renowned luthier who apprenticed with Kuniharu Nobe in Japan from 1965 to 1971. After this period he moved to the workshop of David Rubio in England, where he worked with another famous luthier: Paul Fischer. 1974 he founded his own workshop in Germany, where he is still based and where he now works together with his son Hideo Sato.
This 2020 Kazuo Sato Prelude model has a fine top made of alpine spruce and the back and sides are made of very beautiful Indian rosewood. The design is characterized by a simple elegance. The guitar is equipped with Alessi tuners and was finished with a shellac polish. It responds quickly, is powerful and has a well-balanced sound.
It has a round and generous sound, with beautiful, carrying basses. The treble is clear and expressive. An extremely inspiring and versatile guitar.
