Description
Kazuo Sato is an internationally renowned luthier who apprenticed with Kuniharu Nobe in Japan from 1965 to 1971. After that period, he moved to David Rubio’s workshop in England, where he worked along with another famous luthier: Paul Fischer. In 1974 he established his own workshop in Germany. He is still based in Germany and now also works together with his son Hideo Sato.
This guitar, built in 2020, is an exceptionally impressive masterpiece with a 63 cm scale length, which gives this Sato Special an excellent playing comfort for the left hand. Producing a powerful, rich, and clear sound on this instrument is amazingly easy, and the quality of the timbre is breathtaking. You can really feel and hear the master’s 55 years of experience in creating first-class concert guitars. In addition, this gem of a guitar is built from top-quality CITES-certified Brazilian rosewood and is equipped with the finest handmade tuners from Scheller.
