Description
Kim Lissarrague is a recognized Australian luthier. He began building guitars at the very early age of thirteen and is now established in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Kim makes a limited number of high-quality guitars per year and developed his own designs based on the “Australian School” of guitar making. In other words, his guitars are lattice-braced with an arched back, offering a huge projection, clarity, and sustain.
This 2020 Kim Lissarrague number 340 is the first we receive with a spruce soundboard, and it is an absolute chef-d’oeuvre. The volume, colors, and quality of sound of this lattice-braced guitar are ridiculous. Moreover, it is in perfect condition with only rare superficial marks. In our opinion, Kim Lissarrague belongs to the category of the undervalued luthiers, and this instrument’s sound clearly illustrates our point.
