Description
In 1967 Panhuyzen built his first guitar in the workshop of his uncle Edgar Mönch who was an very important luthier. His guitars were played by John Williams and Julian Bream. In 1971 Mönch returned to Germany from Canada, Kolya started to work in his uncle’s workshop. Then in 1974 Kolya started with his own workshop and in 1992 with an second workshop in Toronto/Canada.
Kolya Panhuyzen made in his career over 400 guitar that are admired by worldwide known guitarists like: Carlo Domeniconi, Hubert Käppel, Sonja Prunnbauer, Ziran Dukic, Jury Clormann, Dale Kavanagh.
This classical guitar was built in 1999 by Kolya Panhuyzen. The two-piece spruce top of this guitar is framed by dark and light purflings. The two-piece back and the ribs are made of East Indian Rosewood. The guitar is in exzellent condition and has only a little trace of nail-wear. The new machine-heads are by Alessi. The sound is typical for Panhuyzen guitars: Very balanced, superior sustain, impressive basses.
