Description
Luca Waldner began to study classical guitar at the age of twelve under Roberto Lambo. Later he began to study with Linda Calsolaro at the Conservatory of Music in Bari. He completed his last three years of his study at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto under Stefano Grondona, graduating with top marks. As a student and after graduating he taught and gave concerts, but one year after graduation he started to build guitars. Over the years he had the opportunity to study and analyse the most famous guitars of the Spanish tradition – by Santos Hernández, Francisco Simplicio, Enrique García, Manuel Ramírez, Vicente Arias, José Ramirez and José Romanillos – as well as those of non-Spanish maker such as David Rubio, until he discovered the instruments of Antonio de Torres. This is where his search ended. His own developments and thinking is being shaped by Torres’ guitars. This guitar has a spruce top and back/sides are made of Indian rosewood. The rosette and the bindings are made of beautiful looking mosaics. The sound quality is remarkable warm and lyrical. A hardshell case is included.
