Description
Luciano Maggi is an Italian luthier based in Poppi, in the province of Arezzo. Since 1991, Luciano has dedicated himself to building high-end classical guitars with a unique commitment to enhancing the acoustic properties of classical guitar by using synthetic materials and elaborated cutting-edge building techniques. His guitars are known for their massive volume and tremendous projection.
This guitar, built in 2012, is Luciano’s sought-after Antares model. This modern guitar displays an abundance of exciting modern features such as a lattice braced spruce soundboard, a lattice braced double back, double sides, and a hand-carved soundport. The quality of the woods is also outstanding, with highly figured Ziricote and excellent spruce. Finally, this guitar impresses with its openness and wide dynamic range. Deep basses, a very resonant body, and rich harmonics also characterize the tonal qualities of this guitar.
