Description
Marco Gilioli is a very talented Italian luthier based near Milan, Italy. His instruments are built according to the traditional Spanish method, focussing on both the sound and the needs of the guitarist. A sweet, soft and well-balanced tone, with deep basses and clear trebles, characterize his guitars. The playability and sound projection are also very important for Marco. As a result, his instruments are very charming, easy to play, and suitable for concert players as well as for amateurs of fine guitars.
This instrument is feather-light and shows impressive know-how in marquetry. It is inspired by the SE 114 guitar built by Antonio de Torres in 1888. The low resonance frequency gives it a very authentic sound, close to the original. It is a quite sensitive instrument with an immediate response. Due to its lightweight, this guitar is very pleasant to play, as it vibrates generously. The rather vintage sound combined with the fiery dynamic possibilities is very enjoyable and really makes it a great guitar.
