Description
Martin Bretscher first completed an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker before starting his second education as a plucked instrument maker with Armin Hanika in 2003 and gaining the master certificate in 2007. In addition, he was awarded the Master Craftsman Prize of the Bavarian State Government in the same year.
With this 10-string Lattice model, it is easy to see that Martin is not only a very capable and experienced guitar maker but is also not afraid of challenging and demanding work. Not only because it is a 10-string guitar, this brand new Martin Bretscher is a very special instrument. The elegant and excellently crafted cutaway, the spruce top with lattice bracing and the overall modern and extremely appealing design make this guitar everything a guitarist looking for a high-quality 10-string guitar could wish for nowadays.
The trebles sound brilliant, crystal clear and contrast perfectly with the carrying voluminous basses. This is a very accomplished and fascinating instrument both for guitarists who have always wanted to explore more than 6 strings and for experienced players who already have mastered 10-string guitars and want a modern instrument that is superb to play and meets high demands in terms of sound as well.
