Description
Masaru Kono built this lovely concert guitar in 1963. It still has the old label: “Masaru Kono – Constructor de Guitarras – TOKIO 1963”. The top is made of fine-grained spruce wood. The soundhole is framed by thin, brown and red veneers. In those veneers, which are arranged in a circle, a fine mosaic can be found, depicting a green wavelike tendril which is decorated at regular intervals with red mosaic flowers. The ribs as well as the back were made of East Indian Rosewood. This unique guitar impresses through its rich but not dominant sound, even in the highest tones. Soon there will be a video about this guitar on our homepage.
