Description
Michael Wichmann started building guitars at the age of 25 and is now set up as a luthier for more than 40 years. He travelled all over Europe to learn and teach in about 20 different workshops. A special highlight in his career was in the early 1980s, when he drove a “Mobile Guitar Workshop” through Spain, France and Portugal. He now lives in Hamburg, where he started his first workshop, and builds replicas of historical instruments as well as his own concert models.
This beautiful flamenco model was built in 2016. It is a very special instrument with CITES certified highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, in excellent condition and only has few superficial playing marks. This guitar can be played in both flamenco and classical style. It is both percussive and singing, has a clear strong attack and a long sustain, and offers a rich colourful tone.
