Description
Russian guitar maker Mijail Kharash has had a very interesting path. From Leningrad, where he was born, to Israel after the collapse of the USSR, finally settling in Spain, where he learned the wonderful craft of guitar making. Through contact with John Ray, José Vigil, and more, he developed masterful skills in the art of woodworking and immersed himself in the intricacies of the Spanish handmade guitar tradition. Recently, Mijail’s dedication was rewarded with second prize in the Antonio Marin Montero guitar-making competition.
This brand new Mijail Kharash guitar is delightful to play. Its 64 cm scale length, low string action, beautifully shaped neck, and extremely responsive cedar top are the perfect mix for an effortless playing experience. The thin cedar top is strengthened by a spruce fan bracing, which adds both clarity and warmth to the tone. This results in not only a lightweight and very responsive classical guitar with authentic Spanish character, but overall an excellent handmade guitar at an attractive price.
