Description
Russian guitar maker Mijail Kharash has had a very interesting path. From Leningrad, where he was born, to Israel after the collapse of the USSR, finally settling in Spain, where he learned the wonderful craft of guitar making. Through contact with John Ray, José Vigil, and more, he developed masterful skills in the art of woodworking and immersed himself in the intricacies of the Spanish handmade guitar tradition. Recently, Mijail’s dedication was rewarded with second prize in the Antonio Marin Montero guitar-making competition.
This lightweight from Granada is extremely impressive. It has a warm and open sound character and responds very directly. The beautiful cedar top gives it a wonderfully smooth and silky sound. Back and sides are made of fine Madagascar rosewood. It is great fun to play this guitar and explore its timbres. The price-performance ratio of this Kharash is outstanding, and the 63 cm scale length of this special guitar makes it amazingly comfortable to play.
