Description
Russian guitar maker Mijail Kharash has had a very interesting path. From Leningrad, where he was born, to Israel after the collapse of the USSR, finally settling in Spain, where he learned the wonderful craft of guitar making. Through contact with John Ray, José Vigil, and more, he developed masterful skills in the art of woodworking and immersed himself in the intricacies of the Spanish handmade guitar tradition. Recently, Mijail’s dedication was rewarded with second prize in the Antonio Marin Montero guitar-making competition.
Here we have a splendid 63 cm scale guitar with a sweeping Spanish sound. This richly decorated, brand new guitar comes directly from Mijail’s workshop and already shows a great openness in sound. The treble sounds clear and powerful, supported by confident, rich Basses. In addition, the playability is raised to a new level thanks to the shorter 63cm scale length, making left-hand stretches a breeze. Guitars with a 63cm scale length are rare to come by, and this one is remarkable both in terms of aesthetics and sound.
