Description
Dutch guitar maker Otto Vowinkel began building his first guitars in 1984. While he was initially inspired and motivated mainly by the book “Classic Guitar Construction” by Irving Sloane, he soon designed his own models that reflected his preference for traditionally built guitars. It was at this time that he met the Dutch guitar maker Alex van der Horst (1959-2009), also known as ” Alejandro”, and both men shared their ideas of the “ideal guitar”: flexible tone, quick response, and the sound quality to carry the volume. A regular collaboration between the two men developed and O. Vowinkel became a guitar maker with great attention to detail, whose name is firmly established in the world of classical guitar. Vowinkel guitars are played by classical guitarists such as the Amsterdam Guitar Trio, Sanel Redzic, Denis Azabagic, Tariq Harb, and George Sakkelariou, among others.
This guitar is the refined outcome of the collaboration between Otto Vowinkel and the Spanish workshop Antonio Picado. Manufactured in Spain, this model is the result of decades of experience in guitar making at a very affordable price. Every detail of this instrument was designed to make it as easy as possible for the guitarist to achieve a rich, expressive sound. Available with either a spruce or cedar top, this high-quality, well-priced model is undoubtedly an excellent choice in this price range. This guitar is sold with a high-quality Boston hardshell case to ensure safe shipping and excellent protection of the guitar.
