Petar Antic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, where he grew up surrounded by nature, animals, and traditional crafts. As the son of a talented artist and craftsman, he was exposed to natural materials and attention to detail at an early age. At the age of 14, he was introduced to the guitar. Fascinated by a concert by Andres Segovia, he quickly realised that the guitar was his passion. Being left-handed, he had difficulties finding a suitable guitar at the time, which led him to learn the art of guitar making. Petar found his own way, his own vision and style of guitar making, combining the heritage of the great traditional masters with his own personal taste and aesthetics.
Petar Antic unfortunately passed away recently and this guitar No. 5 from 2010 was brought to us personally by his son. As it is a display model that has been in Petar’s workshop since its completion in 2010, it is technically new and can be considered New Old Stock (NOS). The twin sister of this guitar is the No.4 from 2009, which is the exact same model, but built for right-handed players. It is a beautiful instrument with excellent playability and a wide range of tonal colours. This beautiful guitar has a cedar top combined with Indian rosewood back and sides. Thanks to the great setup, this instrument is easy to play. In addition, the attention to detail is obvious, as evidenced by beautifully crafted and executed ornamentation. With excellent volume and response, this guitar offers extensive possibilities for guitarists of all levels.
