Description
Rafael Moreno is one of the most important Granadinian guitar makers. He started to work in Manuel Lopez Bellido’s workshop at the age of thirteen. He later worked with Antonio Marin Montero and Eduardo Ferrer Castillo. Finally, he opened his workshop in Calle Jesus y Maria, Granada, in 1976. A beautiful article was written on him by Alberto Martinez in the Orfeo Magazine n°8.
This guitar has a warm typical Granadinian sound. It is very pleasant to play. Among the many qualities of this guitar the long sustain in the treble, the richness of the basses and the balanced harmonic resonances in the chords are just a few remarkable characteristics. The appearance of this 2016 cedar-top Rafael Moreno is indeed striking. The warmth of the rosewood’s colour and the deepness of the grain are really appealing and shows R. Moreno’s top-quality workmanship and tastes. All French-polished. A Hiscox Pro II case is included.
