Description
René Baarslag was born in 1948 in Heerlen, Holland. He visited Granada for the first time in 1977 and felt in love with the art of guitar making. He worked with Antonio Marin Montero in Granada but also with Robert Bouchet in France. Today he lives in Granada, where he has set up his own workshop. He is world-wide known for his traditionally built guitars and their incredible volume, balance, elasticity and sustain.
This beautiful instrument built in 2011 and numbered 503 is in excellent condition. The elegant tuners were handcrafted by Alessi. It has an incredibly warm, thick and complex tone. The first string sings marvellously and is vigorously supported by profound direct basses. One of this instrument’s very interesting qualities is the equal sustain of all the strings during long-lasting chords. It is a very expressive instrument, ideal for concert players. A Hiscox-Pro II hard-shell case is included.
