Description
Richard Jacob Weissgerber has built around 3500 instruments of unique beauty. This guitar which was constructed in 1923 by Richard Jacob does also belong to these instruments. The two-piece top is made of nut brown stained spruce wood. It is framed by white and black purflings which consist of Galalith and another component which is most probably dark stained pear wood. The same arrangement of purflings can be found around the sound hole, beyond which the fingerboard protrudes. The two-piece back is vaulted and consists of a fine Indian Rosewood just like the ribs as well. A beautiful guitar in very good condition.
