Description
Richard Jacob Weissgerber has built around 3500 instruments of unique beauty. During the first years he also sold instruments to middlemen, which attached their own labels to the guitars. This Viennesse Model which was constructed in 1917 by Richard Jacob does also belong to these instruments. The penciled inscription on the crossbar above the sound hole has the serial number 16.5/4. The two-piece top is made of nut-brown stained spruce wood. On height of the fretboard, on the left side, is a repaired crack that was cleated with some little pieces of spruce wood. You can also find one repaired crack on the back. The overall condition is very good for the age of this guitar. The finish and the tuning machines are original and the guitar. A hardshell case is included.
