Roy Fankhänel’s workshop is situated in Oelsnitz, Germany where he builds marvelous classical guitars. In detail, he thereby attends to his customers’ wishes and creates wonderful unique instruments. This guitar was finished by Roy Fankhänel in early January 2016. Roy wrote us in a letter that in his opinion this guitar is one of the best he has ever built. The decorative elements like the rosette and the binding of this unique guitar were designed by Roy. The bridge with its 12-hole-drilling fits perfectly into the overall picture of the guitar and is additionally decorated with a beautiful mother of pearl surrounding at its tie block. Eye-catching are also the purfling made of ovangkol, which stress the precious character of the guitar. The insides, except of the top, are made of mahogany. The raised fingerboard facilitates playing in the high registers and improves the sound in this area noticeably. If you look very closely there are tiny, superficial handling marks. The tuning machines are made by Rubner. A Hiscox Pro II hard-shell case is included.
