Description
Sergio Abreu (*1948) is a Brazilian guitarist and luthier, as well as a legend of the classical guitar history. He has been very active, both as a solo player and in duo with his brother Eduardo, during the 1960s. The duo toured internationally and even won the first price at the French guitar competition “Concours international de Guitare France Télévisions” which was an important event at the time. Sergio came to guitar making very naturally and is now building guitars in Brazil.
This guitar was built in 2011 and is numbered 604. It is in great condition, free of cracks and has only a few playing marks, which were retouched at some places of the top. This Instrument has a rich and complex tone, extraordinarily mature and elegant. It is now a fully opened instrument which was played extensively throughout the past years. Its projection is therefore remarkable, and the ease of playing is awesome. These two makers were very important in Sergio Abreu’s guitaristic life and it is a pleasure to hear them combined in this fantastic first class concert guitar.
