Description
In 1984, Simon Marty was given a grant from the Australian government to use advanced research methods (laser holography and computer finite element analysis) to explore and develop his design innovations. Simon Marty began building guitars in 1982 because, as a guitarist, he was interested in exploring new approaches to luthiery that could lead to significant improvements in sound performance. The results of these endeavors were powerful-sounding, responsive, and well-balanced instruments. His guitars are played by many well-known guitarists such as Anabel Montesinos, Scott Tennant, Mak Grgić, Slava Grigoryan, Marco Tamayo, and many others.
The condition of this 2008 model is excellent and there are no cracks or repairs on the guitar. There are a few features that stand out on this great guitar. The first being its responsiveness; it allows one to play with a smooth, effortless touch and still get a generous sonority in all registers. The second is the unique sound that Marty has developed through his extensive research for a modern guitar. Last but not least is the expressive power that emanates from this unique instrument.
