Description

Stephen got his first acoustic guitar at 18, after having been passionately into music for many years. He attended evening classes by Master Luthier Stephen Hill in 2004, which inspired him into guitar making. Soon after, Stephen apprenticed at the workshop of Pablo Requena for two years, where he received a great foundation of knowledge and skills that he continues to put to use today. Stephen finally set up his first workshop in 2008. He has enjoyed building guitars for many professional guitarists, such as Paul Gregory, Juan Martin, Peter Stuart, Sean Shibe, Ian Watt, Andrew Gough, Allan Neave, Gaëlle Solall, Pavel Ralev, Bridget Mermikides, and Mark Eden.

This beautiful guitar from 2023 is a one-to-one copy of 1980 Daniel Friederich. Aesthetically, it displays every aspect of the original 1980 Friederich guitar. This brand-new instrument has a cedar soundboard and stunning Indian rosewood back and sides. Moreover, the cedar soundboard has Friederich 7 fan bracing system, making this guitar represents the tonal essence of Daniel Friederich’s guitar. The complex-sounding yet very lyrical trebles, combine with the deep and punchy basses, make this guitar a beautiful concert guitar that easily fulfills the needs of any concert performer.

Sonically, this guitar is a marvel, perfectly balancing complex yet lyrical trebles with deep, punchy basses. This harmonious blend of tones makes the guitar exceptionally versatile and well-suited for concert performances, meeting the diverse demands of concert performers. The guitar’s intricate sound profile and powerful projection make it an ideal choice for a wide range of musical styles and settings. Whether in a recital hall or an intimate performance space, this guitar promises to deliver a sound that is both captivating and fulfilling. Its construction reflects a deep understanding of Friederich’s legacy, making it not just an instrument, but a continuation of a storied tradition in guitar craftsmanship.
