Description
Teodoro Pérez was born in Soria, Spain in 1952. Later he moved to Madrid to study. In 1966, he began to work at the workshop of José Ramirez III where he learnt to make banduras, lutes and mandolins. In 1969 he was sent to the workshop in General Margallo Street in Madrid where he worked for some of the greatest guitar masters of that time and met famous artists like Andrés Segovia and Narcio Yepes. In 1991 he set up his own company and has since gained worldwide recognition.
This Maestro Especial model from 2017 is strikingly beautiful with finely worked snake-like green mosaic in rosette, bridge and biding. The light spruce top forms a magnificent contrast to back and sides which are made of gorgeously grained Madagascar Rosewood. The sound is wonderfully balanced, direct and responsive with marvelous singing trebles, unfolding superbly in the room. The tuners are made by Alessi. A hard-shell case is included.
